If you are traveling with us between December 17th and 21st, we highly recommend setting aside one evening for the most famous holiday event in the country: The Big Christmas Market.
Unlike the street markets which can get quite cold in the evenings, this event is held inside the Meridian Expo Center, making it a warm, comfortable, and premium experience for families and shoppers.
What to Buy (The Best Souvenirs) This is the best place to buy authentic Armenian gifts to take back home. You will find over 300 local brands in one hall. We recommend looking for:
Gourmet “Chir”: Beautifully packaged Armenian dried fruits (apricots, peaches, plums) stuffed with walnuts. They make excellent gifts.
Local Honey: Pure, organic mountain honey.
Handmade Crafts: Unique ceramics and wood carvings that you won’t find in standard tourist shops.
For the Kids (Family Friendly) If you are traveling with children, this is a “must-visit.”
Santa’s House: There is a large, decorated house where kids can meet Santa and take photos completely free of charge.
Coca-Cola Village: A festive zone with the famous red trucks, polar bears, and fun games.
Food & Halal Options There is a large food court inside. While many stalls sell local pastries and snacks, you will find plenty of vegetarian and sweet options (crepes, waffles, corn) that are suitable for everyone.
Dates: December 17 – December 21, 2025.
Time: Open from 12:00 PM to 11:00 PM daily.
Location: 1 Voskerichneri Street, Yerevan.
Admission: Free for everyone.
Option A: Ask your Nour Armenia Tours private driver to drop you off and wait for you.
Option B: Use the free shuttle buses organized by the event (departing near Republic Square).
